What my Horse Taught Me About Stress & Control

My cutting horse taught me more about stress than any therapist ever did. Here’s the thing—she doesn’t respond to tension. Not well, anyway. If I’m gripping the reins, overthinking, holding my breath or brace … she shuts down.

And honestly? So do I.

Running a business, managing life, healing from loss—it’s a lot. And when I try to micromanage every little thing (the way I used to in both life and business), it doesn’t work.

🧠 Just like with my horse, control doesn’t calm me.

🐎 Trust does. Breathing does. Space does.

Turns out, the same lesson applies to your books. You don’t have to be in the saddle of every spreadsheet to feel in control.

You just need someone you can trust to ride alongside you.

I’m not here to take over your business—I’m here to support the ride. So you can breathe again.

👉 Need someone who gets the big picture and the tiny details? Let’s talk. Because calm books = calm brain = more time at the barn.

🖤 Horse hair on my keyboard guaranteed.

📍 Serving Montana and beyond, virtually and honestly.
